Netball World Cup task

Welcome to my blog Post. Last week the netball world cup finished with Australia winning it again for 2015.  In class we got a task about the netball world cup and managed to finish it before it got put onto the can do's.  I loved the challenging task on it and it made it very enjoyable to do.  There were videos to make, match reports, facts about Sydney and making pieces of art. Here is my task below I hope you like it and can comment.

Task 1

List all of the teams competing in the Netball World Cup 2015.

Find out where the 2015 Netball World Cup is being held. Write down 10 facts about the city.

New Zealand Vs Uganda

The game is under way with New Zealand starting with the ball and straight away it is a turn over. It gets to the Uganda goal GS, shot and GA got the rebound and stepped out so it was NZ ball. After NZ shooting a few goals Shannon Francois made a excellent intercept, delivering a great pass into the goal circle, with Malia Paseka shooting a great goal.  After these first few minutes of the game Uganda has had great defence keeping the shooters out of the way for NZ.  

Down the other end Karaka has made a lovely intercept leading to a great goal being shot for NZ. NZ having great teamwork with Jodi Brown making the ball stay on the NZ side. There has been nice pressure by the silver ferns making Uganda struggle and go off side.  There was a lovely save by the Uganda C but NZ still manage to get the ball with 2 nice strong passes down the court to the NZ shooters.  There has been great defence by both teams with a injury time out in the middle. Uganda have been doing some risky moves by shooting and passing with one hand.  What a great pick up by Laura Langman! At the end of the first quarter New Zealand came out winning 20-3.

Uganda have came back on the court really strong ready to play another quarter.  Uganda has a new GA on and that has made a big difference by shooting more goals and straight away. After that Uganda have the ball with a 2 -0 start in the 2rd quarter.  Uganda had a very unlucky step but a nice pick up by Uganda after.  There were lovely passes by NZ making Jodi Brown shoot an amazing goal. Uganda centre pass went right into the hands of Malia Paseka and a centre pass does not normally go into the opposition GS hands. At the end of the 2rd quarter 39-16 with NZ leading and Uganda having a better quarter than their first quarter.

There was a short pass by Uganda so it was a turn over to NZ which went out of court. Then Uganda stepped so it was NZ ball again. A lot was going on! On the Uganda side they had a lot of stepping in the circle and NZ was hustling.  There was lovely passing by Uganda but WD on their side got a warning by the referee. At the end of the 3rd quarter, New Zealand was still leading 56-24.

Maria Tutaia is coming onto the court to play her 100th game for the Silver ferns.  Great ball by Maria Tutaia shooting but the ball fell out of the hoop but rebounded, making a quick pass to Malia Paseka. Great intercept by the Uganda GK but she was unlucky and it was NZ ball. GK for NZ, Karaka, made a big pass to Laura Langman who just missed it. There was a nice rebound by Leana De Bruin making the ball go down to the NZ shooting circle with a goal on its way. The final shot was by NZ and both teams have never meet before. The final score was 76-33 to New Zealand at the Sydney Olympic park.  

Task 8

Design a playing dress for the Silver Ferns. It should include the sponsors in an appropriate way. Don’t forget about the bibs. Include that here.

Week 11 Paper Waste

This week I have been trying really hard on my Inquiry Task.  At one point I got really stuck but I got there in the end.  I am really proud of this because I put a lot of effort into it.  I am especially proud of slide 11 my I movie that I made with Liske and Georgia I thought it was really funny and I put a lot of detail into it.

Matariki

This week we have been doing Matariki.  This is my blog post of most of the things I done.  I am really proud of this post because I put a lot of effort into it.  I am especially proud of my slide because I put a lot of effort into it.

 



 What an amazing experience at sewing. I got to do something that I have never done before. As I walked into Room 14 I had a hand full of butterflies in my tummy. Mrs Beswick, Mrs Niven and Joe-Ann (Mrs Beswicks daughter) were taking it. I saw a lot of people creations hanging on the wall. They were made out of denim, fabric and a whole lot of other colours. I felt extremely nervous when Mrs Beswick said “It hurts when you are sewing and the needle goes through your fingernail.” So I did not want to get it through my finger. I got Mrs Niven’s flash pearl sewing machine. I found it really easy to use. I started off slow with the turtle and went a bit faster up to the hare. I loved making the hangers. I thought they were crafty and I cant wait to get it back.

This is On Friday in Room 14 at sewing 

This week we have been learning and doing tasks about Matariki.  On Wednesday when the kids went to the Maori games some kids stayed back.  We done some amazing art.   I made a piece of art with Rosie, Liske and Tyla.  It was of the seven stars in the dark black sky. I did 2 stars, Tyla done 2, Rosie done 2 and Liske did one because she done the background as well. The stars were all different colours with officemax pencils. There were blues, reds, blacks, greens and lots of other colours.  The background was a blackie blue colour with koru painted with glitter paint.   

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

This week for my blog post I made a piece of art on the iPad. The app that I used was Pic collage.  I choose to do this piece of art because this term for inquiry we are doing  how to save the environment. This art is to show people to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

Superhero's

 The whole class has been drawing superheroes to have on the wall. Check the photo out! Look at mine

Powers	With her pink feathery tail behind on the lower area so silky way more than a blanket   So the enemy can't see her she presses a button on her belt to become invisible.
Origin	She got her pink tail from kissing a flamingo at the local zoo and the next day she grew a tail One day she went to the bar and got a drink  but unfortunately there was something postin in there so now she can be invisible.
Name	The Shining shadow women
Costume	I have a pink top with a big neck collar and a silver Z shape with awesome shining blue gloves with blue pant the same.
Secret Identity	I dont have a secret Identity
Sidekick / Team	Shining mystery shadow
Weakness	My tail is so weak if it gets cut I will not be able to fly
Enemy	Spit and Speed & beastly bro’s
Places	A hide out on mars with a fingerprint code to get in and made out of unbreakable mars bars
Accessories	Captain America’s shield and grey gun, rope and bow an arrow.
Mission	To take over my enemies and try not to get hurt but also save the town and my family
